I'm back. For three minutes on the computer. That's all I can get these days. Hopefully things will ease up soon. Hopefully.
Work + baby + preschooler + at-home work + cleaning the house + interacting with my husband + endless appointments, responsibilities, etc = I have no time for me anymore. And "time for me" involves the computer. I take three hours on Sundays to do my lesson plans for the week and that's it. I'm in serious withdrawal.
Pumping at work is going okay. We're still exclusively breast feeding, and I'm pretty effing proud of that. Sometimes I manage to pump 14 ounces (yay!), sometimes only 9 ounces (stinko). I ordered domperidone from an online drugstore and it arrived in a scary package from Bangkok. Random is not pleased. I've been on it for a day and it seems to be working already--I leaked through four layers today (I had no breast pads, either) and gave everyone at Stop N' Shop a nice leaky boob show.
Other than busier than I ever thought a person could be, we are good. I am in so love with my girls.
Pictures and more soon. I promise.
So good to hear from you, Karen. Congrats on surviving. I know that place you're in -- survival is a major accomplishment. And still exclusively breastfeeding! Yee-ha! You SHOULD be effing proud.

So good to hear that you're still breastfeeding, because I know that is important to you. And hoping that you get through this really intense time and can enjoy your winter break with your family and have some you time.

You need ME! Toying with the idea of a company catering to a working parents needs. Errands, kid care, laundry, housekeeping, meal prep or whatever...

Oh, Karen! I am so glad to hear that things are "going" these days for you. That's all we can hope for sometimes (I'm starting a new job and have two kids and there's so much to learn/relearn...). I am also glad to hear that the bfing is still working out--that seemed very important to you, so good job sticking with it. It was important to me, too, and it really does get easier with time. If you can survive the last few weeks, I bet the coming weeks will get easier. And drugs from Bangkok? Yikes! But whatever works, I suppose. :)
Love,
G.

Yay, you're alive! Was getting kind of worried. I've only got one kid plus full time job, house etc. and I'm so tired I've completely forgotten what it is like to feel rested. Can't even begin to remember that sensation of waking up and knowing you got enough sleep.
Congratulations on the breastfeeding. We just made 9 months this week and I'm pretty damn proud too. It wasn't always easy but it has been so worth it. Keep on keeping on. You're doing great.

Darling, for the love of all that is good and holy please hire someone to come in and clean once a week. That person/service can definitely use the work, and you can definitely use the help.

I'm glad you posted! I was worried that lack of sleep had sent you over the edge.

Take your time, and do what you have to do. And don't worry about long posts, maybe just short little ones here and there until you get yourself together?

So glad everything is on the up-n-up.

Glad to see you back if just for a little bit. Way to go on the breastfeeding! I'm using the Dom as well. My output sounds like yours. I like In House Pharmacy dot com. They ship from Vanuatu. I also ordered from the other company you probably ordered from. The packaging does look a little iffy but it was the right stuff. I decided to stick with In House cause the actual pill packaging (20 pills to a 2X3 card) was more convenient to use and carry in my purse than the long foil packages. I also found that after an initial registered mail package that I had to sign for at the Post Office, they would ship directly to my door with no problem. I find drinking lots of water helps so much regardless of if I'm taking the pills.

Congratulations on keeping the pumping going! I know from experience that it is hard to do at work however many b/f rooms and facilities they provide.

Lovely to see your post. We'll survive without your frequent posts, but I do hope you get some more time to/for yourself, whether you choose to spend it on us or some other way.

We'll still be here when you're ready. Your formula (kids + life = no me time) pretty much describes the last nine years for me! Now that my 'baby' is 3.5, it's starting to let up. hah.

I so remember those days.. Even as a stay at home mom the days were brutal and inhumane. (By stay at home mom I meant to include the fact that once in a blue moon I could take the time and nap WITH the buggers ;) New motherhood is damned hard and fraught with adjustments.. You can DO THIS and survive.. Really. My kids are now on the brink of another B-day at 11 (twin girls) and son almost 16.
And now I am sad they do not need me as much as they ever did :(
Parenthood. Not an easy path but very much worth it!

Oh, honey, you poor thing! Hope things get better for you soon.
In my case, I finally got so overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything that I made a list of my priorities, and concentrated on the top 5. I ditched house cleaning and decided that as long as dishes & laundry were kept up with, the rest could drown in a layer of dust. Helped me keep my sanity until the monkey boy weaned and I had more time.

Hello, Karen!
I love your blog - your kids are so *adorable* and you have a way with words. I will definitely keep reading. Have you ever thought about advertising on your site? It's a great way to get a little spending money. I'm a mom and I know sometimes it's nice to go shopping and buy things that don't have age specifications in months. = ) I'd love to hear back from you!
Truly,
Rachel

Great blog, thanks for giving the rest of us overstressed breastfeeding moms soemthing to relate to. I just ordered Domperidone from the same company and am really nervous about taking a medication from the South Pacific. How did you know you could trust this pharmacy? I am breastfeeding a 6 month old and work nearly 40 hours a week. I pump 6 times a day and average 12-15 ounces total. I've never supplimented wtih formula and my baby just started taking solids. Thanks for any info.

The online pharmacy no prescription phrase works on two distinct planes; the internet and non prescription medication. But, we are fusing the phrase so that it means something and we can use the constituent parts of the phrase to create an idea. The concept of “online pharmacy no prescription” is designed for the purpose of providing medication over the internet (online) for all those people all over the world who are in dire need of suitable medication at reasonable prices, which is exactly the reason behind generic meds.
