Tell Me How Much Weight You Gained (and only tell me if it was a lot. Sniff.)
I will be 30 weeks on Wednesday. (AcK! SpuTteR! GaSp!)
I have gained 34 pounds.
I am a giant, stretched out, itchy ham.
(Coming up: A picture! So you can all see my Ham-ness! Oh, joy! *Jigging on my trotters*)
I gained about 42 lbs. Don't worry about it. It will be well worth it once you see that little angel's face. TRUST ME!!!! You have the rest of your life to lose the weight.

I gained 70 pounds. And I wasn't tiny to begin with. It was twins, but still, that's 35 pounds per baby! But I can report it all came off, less 5 pounds, within about 7 months. Credit breastfeeding. I ate, if anything, more than ever after the babies were born.

I gained 32, but I was 25 pounds overweight. Now 2 years after my son was born, I've lost the baby weight (most of it came off shortly after birth), and am still trying to get rid of the damned 20 exta pounds. Crap.
I can't believe you're at 30 weeks already! How wonderful! I'm so excited for you and your family! Thank you for keeping us posted.

My mom gained 70 pounds with me (second baby) and 60 pounds with my sister, you're not the only one! Hang in there!

I gained 40 with the first, never lost the last 10, gained 30 with the second. Got divorced, lost a ton of weight, got a desk job and gained 100 pounds in 6 years. :)

19 years ago when I gave birth to my ungrateful (she dropped out of college) daughter I gained 40 pounds.
I am 5'10" and by the time I delivered her I tipped the scale at just over 200 lbs. To say my doctor was pissed is putting it nicely. Anyway, I lost most of the wieght within 6 months.
Why yes I am biter that she quit school, but I have faith that she will go back. (fingers crossed)

70 =( and has not come off. It must be genetic to some extent. I was even counting weight watchers points while prego under the direction of my OB and still gained like crAzee. When I finally said f' it and ate what I wanted when I wanted I stopped gaining weight the last trimester. I went from a size 10 to a 20. After three years am finally getting enough sleep to be able to exercise every couple days and focus on eating mindfully. It has been very hard on my emotional health.

With my first son I gained 46 lbs. He weighed 11 lbs. and by the time I got home from the hospital I had lost 30 lbs. The rest came off within six-weeks, with my body getting back into the normal shape after I was done nursing at 16-months.
With my second, I gained 56 lbs. and at 11-months postpartum I am about 8 lbs. away from my pre-pregnancy weight, but I still look four months pregnant with the stretch marks and saggy skin in my belly. The rest of me looks fab. Gorgeous mental picture though. Oh, and he weighed almost 11 lbs. too.

23 kilos, which, is......50.6 pounds. Yikes! But I lost it all, and more, just through breastfeeding (if that helps).

My first pregnancy? 42 pounds (7#2oz baby). Second one it was 39 pounds(8#5oz baby). It drops off faster then you realize. Sounds like you're perfectly normal to me!

Fie on your 34 pounds. I gained seventy--yes, SEVENTY--pounds my first pregnancy, while on bedrest for like, twenty weeks. Same deal with #2, although I was much less restricted in what I could do. The third one I "only" gained fifty but I was only five months out from having #2 so I think my body just decided that seventy was the magic number and nothing could convince it otherwise. And yes, I lost it all and am back to my pre-pregnancy #1 fighting weight.

That's nothing. My pal gained 30 lbs in the FIRST 12 WEEKS. Her doctor very gently suggested that she might want to back off the snacking a little. "You're not really eating for two. You should be shooting for more like an extra 300 calories a day."

42 and I was miserable. I'm doing better this second time around (I'm about two weeks ahead of you), but it is just so hard to eat right. "Good" food gives me heartburn. I eat it, but not as much as I ought to. I know a chick who gained 55 with her first and 70 with her second. It'll come off faster than you realize...

16lbs. Sorry.

Fifty pounds even, 10 of which were put on in the last week of my pregnancy alone. I've lost all but those pesky last 10 now (8 months post-partum, and my weight hasn't really budged in the last three months) without trying to diet or doing much more exercise than I was doing before I had my baby.

Gained 65lbs with my first. OK. Wait. I had gained 65lbs at 38 weeks when I stopped looking. Who knows what it was three weeks later...
Gained 35lbs with the second, but I was 10lbs heavier than my goal before I got pregnant, so that's like gaining 45lbs.
You are gorgeous and you are right on track.

I gained 55 pounds with my first child. and about 30 of that was put on in the first three months.

48 lbs. with first, lost all, but 8 pesky lbs. 50lbs. with 2nd. My oldest is 5.5 yrs. old and I am 15 lbs. heavier now than I was then.

First child: gained 60 pounds, lost it in almost exactly 9 months. Second child: gained 52 pounds, she is 14 months and I still have 6 pounds to go... Good luck!

I can only speak in kilograms. But I'm 20 weeks and up ten.
Ok, I googled it- 22 pounds thus far and a long long way to go...
Still if I divide it by the number of babies, it's not so bad...

23 lb.
It would have been more but during the last couple-three months whenever I started eating she would push her feet up into my stomach and I had to stop. I was STARVING. And the heartburn, OMG.

Yay, a belly pic, a belly pic!!! Maybe with Maya standing beside you?
I gained a total of 30 pounds with my daughter, 35 with my son. But they were both small babies, each weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces. Also, I found that I gained most of the weight in the first 30 weeks and not so much after, because my tummy was so squished that I couldn't fit much into it, I think? Also, the weight just flew off of me postpartum as a result of breastfeeding (I already have the metabolism of a hummingbird, and the calories just went gushing out of my boobs and into my babies). I really think 30 pounds on a gal as tall as you are (aren't you like 6 feet tall?), who will probably have a bigger baby than mine were, sounds perfect.

50 pounds, all of it in the last four months. (I was dreadfully sick in the beginning.) Good luck to you!

Oh yeah, what Heather said is totally true. I am a stick figure and yet I have a hangin' old sack of loose skin on my belly that I can't stuff into any of my pre-pregnancy pants. Once you get sack, you'll never go back. Unless you get a tummy tuck, I guess.

With my first I say I gained 40...but I know that I was about 140 when I got pregnant and 186 when I gave birth so it was actually 46( and I'm only 5'5 - so I was really big) and she was only 6 lbs 15 oz! My sister gained 65 and I have a friend that gained almost 100 lbs! You will be fine...one of the nurses at my ob's office said the doctors advise you to gain 25-35 lbs..but based on the patient she sees the average is really 35-45.
With my second two pregnancies I gained 22 lbs, he was my largest at 7lbs 3 oz. and my last one I gained 27 and she was 7lbs 1 oz. With the last two I was so sick for almost the entire pregnancy so I didn't gain as much, as I couldn't eat very much with out being sick.
You are doing fine...you can't do anything about the weight you have already gained so don't obsess...just enjoy the last few weeks of this wonderful experience!
